If you run a construction crew in Thailand, you probably manage jobs the same way most contractors do: orders go out in LINE group chats, progress photos pile up in those chats, and at payment time nobody is quite sure which jobs are actually finished. Pidjob (pronounced "pit-job", written ปิดจ๊อบ in Thai, meaning "close the job") was built to fix exactly that. This article explains what it is, what it does, who it is for, and how to start without changing your whole company in one day.

What Pidjob is

Pidjob is a construction job tracking tool for contractors that runs in the mobile browser, with nothing to install. The idea is simple: every piece of work on site gets its own job card that says who is responsible and when it is due. The crew submits the finished work with site photos on that card, and the owner or inspector opens the photos and decides on the spot whether it passes or goes back for fixes. Every step sends a notification through LINE, the app your team already uses all day.

A job only counts as closed when the inspector approves it, not when the worker says it is done.

The site problems Pidjob is built for

Small and mid-sized contractors run into the same things over and over:

  • You give an order in a chat and later nobody is sure who owns it or when it is due.
  • Workers send photos into a group chat and you can never find them again.
  • Someone says "finished" with no proof, and you discover the rework when you visit the site.
  • After a fix, nobody knows who has to inspect it next, or how many rounds it took.
  • When a subcontractor asks for payment, you have no record of which jobs actually passed inspection.

None of this is about craftsmanship. It is about scattered information, and a tool light enough to use on site can fix it.

What Pidjob does

1. Clear assignments: who, what, when

Create a task inside a project, pick the person responsible, describe the work, and set a due date and time. The worker gets a LINE notification and accepts the task. If the deadline has to move, you change it with a reason that stays in the history.

2. Crews submit work with progress photos

When the work is done, the worker opens the same job card, writes what was completed, and attaches photos straight from the phone camera (up to four per report). The photos stay attached to that job permanently instead of disappearing into a chat.

3. Inspect from anywhere, approve or send back

The inspector opens the details and photos and checks three things: scope, evidence and quality. If it is complete, they tap "Pass". If not, they tap "Send back" and type what needs fixing. The worker fixes it and resubmits on the same job, so the full history of rounds is kept. Nobody can approve their own work.

4. Notifications in LINE, no new app for the crew

Pidjob uses a central LINE Official Account to notify people when a job is created, submitted, passed or sent back. Your team uses their personal LINE, you do not need to set up an OA, and workers sign in with LINE instead of remembering a password.

5. Every site on one screen

The "My day" view lists what needs attention today and a board shows every job by status: awaiting acceptance, in progress, awaiting inspection, done. One look tells you which site is stuck and where, without scrolling back through chats.

6. Crew performance from real jobs

Pidjob calculates each person's on-time submission rate and first-pass inspection rate from the work they actually did. You can talk to the team with numbers instead of impressions.

7. Costs, payment milestones and expense claims per project

Record expenses per project, track the payment milestones you have invoiced, the amounts received and what is still outstanding. Foremen and workers can file an expense or advance request with evidence, an authorised person approves it, and the payment is recorded with the slip. Regular workers never see financial data because access is split across seven roles, from owner and manager down to foreman, worker, inspector, finance and client.

Pidjob is not an accounting package and does not issue tax documents. It keeps you aware, at all times, of what each project has collected and what is still owed.

A real day with Pidjob

Morning: the owner creates the task "Check second-floor slab rebar before the pour", assigns it to Ek, due 17:00. Ek gets the LINE notification and accepts.

Afternoon: Ek finishes tying the rebar, takes three photos of the overview and the laps, and submits for inspection. The inspector is notified immediately.

The inspector, on another site, opens the photos on her phone, sees that the left corner is not tied yet, taps "Send back" and types where. Ek fixes it, photographs it again and resubmits on the same job. The inspector taps "Pass". Job closed.

Evening: the owner opens "My day" and sees how many jobs passed and how many are still open, without calling anyone.

Who it is for

  • House builders, extension and renovation contractors with crews from a few people to several dozen.
  • Owners running several sites at once who are tired of chasing work all day.
  • Foremen who assign and inspect work on the owner's behalf.
  • Teams whose workers are not comfortable with software, because the worker side is just: accept, photograph, submit.

If your company needs full accounting, procurement or inventory, Pidjob will feel too light. If your main problem is keeping up with the crew, this is exactly what it is designed for.

Pricing and the free trial

Pidjob publishes its prices openly. The START package is 990 THB per month for 3 projects and a team of 10, with TEAM and BUSINESS packages for larger crews. Prices are indicative and confirmed on a quotation before you start. See packages and pricing. Every team begins with a free 7-day trial.

How to get started

  1. Message the Pidjob team on LINE @pidjob with your number of sites and team size.
  2. The team creates your company and sends the owner an invitation link. Sign in with LINE.
  3. Create your first project and invite two or three foremen or workers.
  4. Assign one job, have a worker submit photos, and run one inspection end to end.

Start with a single project. Once the team sees that submitting and inspecting on one job card is easier than chasing chats, roll it out to every site. A 7-minute Thai-language walkthrough video on the home page shows every step.
